I wish you all to find the way to happiness, to live fully every moment with those you love! Never stop dreaming, and more importantly, believe in these dreams! May 2018 brings you to accomplish and/or venture onto great projects!
Welcome this new year with smile and confidence!
Retrospective of the year 2017
2017 was truly a year of adaptation in my new life as a mum and an entrepreneur. The first few weeks of the year, I took care exclusively of our little Maya. I then decided to come back half-time to make the most of our daughter until last September. Time goes so fast!
My first contract on my return – and what a contract! – was the SIRHA, the big international gastronomic event: 5 days and an average of 15km walk per day. You can imagine the challenge … considering the changes my body endured throughout motherhood: « no more than 3 hours sleep per night » and « no exercise for months » …!
Then the year went on very well, and on a more sustained pace! I ran multiple reports, events, photo shoots, weddings, aquatic sessions, (and my own family life …). It was a nice mix of projects carefully organised for both businesses and private individuals.
One more time, you filled me with happiness, through all these great people I’ve had the pleasure to meet, thanks to your support and all the projects and missions you decided to trust me with! I would not have the chance to do a job that I deeply love, if it was not for you. I am very thankful for that!
I am glad because each year I set concrete goals. I have dreams and intentions, with this desire to advance further and higher … When I look backward, well, I am proud to see that I reached the challenges I had set to myself and that I keep pursuing my dreams. I would not succeed without you!
This year 2017 was emotionally charged from a privacy perspective, but paradoxically, it was also filled with happiness (our little Maya contributes a lot). Still, I finish year 2017 with a feeling of gratitude to better welcome year 2018!
My intentions for 2018
I intend to focus further my photographic projects in events and with businesses (corporate report, interior, commercial photo). I’m really having fun in these areas. It would also allow me to regularly apply my knowledge in Visual Communication studied at the university.
I would like 70% of my projects to be to professionals. This would leave 30% of my activities with individuals which I want to preserve. Indeed, I love new encounters as well as following couples who trust my work and ask for shoots through the different steps of their lives. I love to capture images and leave a trace of a moment of your life. It’s genuinely essential for my passion, my creativity!
In 2018, I would like to allocate more time to my aquatic sessions! This summer was a success! I take so much pleasure underwater. The comments I read and hear about my images are incredible! I would like to organise underwater sessions all year long, developing partnerships with beautiful heated pools (if you know addresses I would be interested). I would like to realise them outside of the PACA region, and also to diversify my underwater photography to do something different from pregnancy sessions.
This year, I also give myself contest goals: I want to attempt at least 2 National and European photo competitions. It will be a lot of pressure but in the same time I find it important to have feedback on one’s work.
I have many other ideas in mind as you can imagine … but one of my greatest goals will also be to take 5 weeks off a year. It seems normal for someone who has an employee status, but when you are self-employed, it is very difficult to cut completely from work. Yet, it is essential to recharge the batteries, regain creativity, and to travel as I love so much! But mostly to spend time with friends and family.
I cannot wait to start this year more seriously !
Live … love … dream … believe …!
